Home Learning

We encourage children to continue their learning at home; we have kept the home learning to a minimum (around 1 hour across the whole week). Our Home Learning expectations can be read using here. Learning at home helps to ensure children are starting to take responsibility for their learning and preparing them for the next steps in their education; it also helps parents to see what children are learning. We focus on online learning, promoting engagement and ensuring that we keep paper use to a minimum. Please click on the below links to access your child learning.

Children are given the opportunity to complete some of their home learning in school if they have not been able to do so at home.

If you have difficulty logging on or completing the homework, please contact your child’s class teacher via the school office.

Children should continue to read and be read to regularly throughout their primary years. Our new, personalised reading records introduced into key stage 2, help track children’s reading, provide some information about our learning during the half term and give some suggested books for reading.

Learning at Home During Isolation

If your child is required to isolate, please inform the school as soon as possible. Children in EYFS will be able to access ideas to support learning through Tapestry, while children in years 1-6 will have their work set via e-mail or TEAMS. Children in years 1 to 6 have ongoing access to Reading Eggs, the Doodle Suite and Times Tables Rock Stars; these can be used to support all learning.

Please get in touch with the school office if you need any further information or resources, including devices, to support learning from home.

Children who are unwell are not expected to complete learning.

Contacting Staff
